WINTER WEATHER POLICY
Whenever a winter weather storm watch or warning is posted for Eureka Springs and surrounding areas covering the time of Sunday morning services, the 8AM service will be canceled. The 10AM service will be held (or canceled) as determined by consultation between the Vicar, the other clergy involved. and at least one of the wardens. In all cases it is expected that people will use their own judgment about whether it is safe to travel for worship. This policy only applies to winter weather watches and warnings.
Information regarding the 10AM service will be transmitted by e-mail not later than 9AM and also sent to KESA 100.9 FM and TV channel 40/29 (cancellation only). An announcement will also be recorded on the voice mail machine at the church.
There will be times not covered by this policy when the canceling of services would be prudent.
In all instances, the vicar will make the decision in consultation with at least one of the wardens or other vestry members should they be unavailable.
